The baseball team (4-11) defeated Baltimore City Community College (3-10), 12-2, in eight innings on Saturday afternoon.
Bryan Lajeunesse (Albany Academy/Watervliet) got the win on the mound, pitching a complete game with 11 strikeouts. Shawn Callahan (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) led the team going 3-4 at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs. Andrew Christie (Troy/Troy) and Matt Kasper (Columbia/Castleton) each recorded two hits and three RBIs in the win.
The Vikings open conference play at Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a double-header on April 5 at 2 p.m.
